The facility is continously monitored, with personnel on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. In the event of a failure in a primary system, alarms will sound, alerting staff and/or the response team to the incident.storage In the event of storage failure due to mechanical fault, the samples held in the affected unit are transferred to an identical empty back-up unit.
For liquid nitrogen storage, we hold an emergency supply reservoir on site, in addition to the regular supply units.
powerIn the event of electrical failure, the emergency generator will provide power to the facility whilst the electricity supply is interrupted.
The individual temperature probes have their own in-built emergency power supply and continue to record data.
data storage All data is backed-up continuously. The inventory database and temperature monitoring information is stored electronically and backed-up to several media formats and stored in appropriate environments on off site.
- Barcode inventory and sample tracking systemAll samples within the facility are individually logged into the inventory database with the allocation of a unique sample reference number and bar code (excluding nitrogen storage). The Cryo-Store bar code label is attached to the sample. In the event of smaller vial sizes, an over-tube will be bar coded and the sample placed within. All information on the original sample label will remain clear and unobstructed.
The sample handling process allows all the sample data to be recorded, in accordance with the client's requirements. Cryo-Store accepts virtually all bar-code types and will record client bar code data allowing the client easy off-site management of their inventory. - Comprehensive data reportingThe data monitoring and reporting of the sample inventory is designed to meet your specific information requirements. We are able to provide management and inventory reporting in any format you should require. All original data with the samples is securely archived whilst the samples remain in storage.

21 CFR part 11 compliance: The data handled by the facility to date, has been regarded as 'post data', and such does not require compliance with 21 CFR part 11 although the data systems of the facility allow audit trail on data changes and operator ID/security. - Approved to Group 3 bio-hazard standards
